Hi everyone,
I'm exploring the idea of incorporating CAFM (Certified Automotive Fleet Manager) certifications into the pay structure for supervisors and upper management within our fleet division. Currently, our supervisors receive ASE pay incentives $10,000 for passing all 8 ASE tests .I'm considering phasing that out in favor of CAFM incentives.
My reasoning is that CAFM aligns more directly with the strategic, administrative, and leadership responsibilities of these roles. It also encourages long-term professional development and industry engagement, which benefits both the individual and the department as a whole.
I'd love to hear from anyone who has successfully implemented something similar:
-
How did you structure the incentives around CAFM certification?
-
Did you phase it in gradually or use a different model?
-
How was it received by your staff?
-
Any templates, policies, or communication strategies you'd be willing to share would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your insight and support - looking forward to learning from this group!
